Books That Changed the Way I Think and Live
by Brendon Burchard
I read this book after taking a course hosted by the author. I thought who doesn’t want a second chance at something or use the opportunity to change. Make the ending of the story be different, better, more aligned with what I want my life to look like. It is NEVER too late. Start making better choices, in what ever area of your life needs attention to it. It is a quick, enjoyable read with opportunities to reflect on your own life and it’s possibilities.

If you are struggling to achieve your goals or feel a little happier, the problem isn't you. The problem is the power you give to other people. (Jacket) My favorite: "It is not your responsibility to manage someone else's emotions." (pg.109) "Stuff that used to bother me doesn't stress me out anymore. I refuse to get sucked into the drama. I stay focused on how I show up and live my life in a way that makes me proud." (pg.104)

I read this book and did the accompanying workbook while navigating my divorce. It was instrumental in helping me create a successful path to single working mom life. By setting appropriate boundaries with myself, my ex-husband and my children. The next chapter of my life didn't seem as daunting.
One of my favorite quotes "The journey towards pleasure starts inside of you and in knowing who you are and what you want. What truly gives you satisfaction. The only tools you need are time, space, and a slightly open mind. These are the greatest gifts that only you can give yourself." Ch. 2
